Chiran sencha from o-cha

it´s a bit weird in that my 1st infusion is always yellow...then the 2nd turns bright radioactive green

haha yeah...it´s just most fukas I get the bright green on the 1st infusion too and it doesn´t turn yellowish until the 3rd or 4th

Sayamakaori sencha from Yuuki-cha. Today's infusions were especially delicious because I am trying to use up my currently open pouch, so I can start on the OTTI #7 offerings....and start on the new senchas that just arrived from Norbu.

Hence used more tea per cup than usual. Mmmm.

Right now, I have some yame gyo from o-cha. I just recently finished the last of my yutaka midori karou supreme LE (also from o-cha) which was delicious. I think I'll probably be ordering some miyabi as my next sencha.

Teaspring's Long Jing (just plain Long Jing, their cheapest), it's nothing incredible (hear it was a bad year for LJ anyway), but it's pleasantly sweet and nutty anyhow.

After a bunch of sencha this morning (tasting all five asamushi from the OTTI #7), I am trying a different green now: Xue Dian Mei Lan Yunnan Green tea from Norbu. This is a free sample I got with a recent order but hadn't yet got around to writing up. I liked it enough first try to order a bit more. I foolishly tried it 'western stye' first--a few larger volume/lower leaf infusions in a larger glass teapot, and it was too dilute, but showed some lovely floral/sweet/vegetal character. Will try a proper review later when I have a better handle on this tea.
