dang me and my lil brambly hedge teaset look pretty shabby against all you folks with pot collections!!!!!

I would get a nice iron or yixing pot but I just can't deal with the terrible smallness!!!!!!! I need a good 20+ ounces of tea each morning

I recognize that panda faircup holder! Is that painted yixing pot you have in the back from funalliance? How do you like it?

Sal, I think I have one of those yixing pots, too. The one right in front of the kyusu; did you get it from Imperial Tea Court?

Space-

The fukugata kyusu is indeed the fine one that you recommended. The 4 yixing pots in front of the 2 kyusu pots, however, are all from Teapot Gallery on ebay.

Scruff-

You have a great eye! The tiny shan shui pot is indeed from Funalliance. It holds a whopping 45 ml and I have yet to actually use it!

The panda bear strainer and its stand are enormously cute but I don't actually use them. The strainer drips through a hole in the stand right onto the counter or whatever is underneath and I have other strainers I like as much or more that are plain metal.

aqueous-

I agree. Sometimes great swilling gulps are the only thing that satisfies!

Oh I'm just lazy as all hell....I make a big pot and that way I just have to get up and refill my cup a few times. I don't have the patence to brew then drink, brew, then drink, brew, then drink

whenever i run out of dishes too do while I'm brewing tea I get all antsy and just stand there watching the leaves...I'm not a very patient person!

Found this whole set for one dollar!

The handle is missing on that set, any ideas on a cheap replacement?

And my "heirloom" cups

I'm missing one cup from the set, it was broken before I received them.

I also have an Adagio mug and glass teapot, so use your imaginaton.

Fencer,

You might want to go to a craft store and check out their selection of purse handles. For some reason, a lot of women seem to want to make their own purses these days so places like Hobby Lobby and JoAnn Fabrics have a surprisingly large selection. I'm sure you could find something adaptable there.

Yixing? I don't know. It's unglazed. I got it in Chinatown in NYC.

Nah, I got them from Artistic Nippon, and for a great price. Both pieces and shipping/insurance from Japan for just under $200. I paid more like $250 for my other two pieces from Rishi. Nothing against Rishi, I think I just saved money by purchasing from a guy who's in Japan.

NICE!

I too prefer the Japanese stuff.

How do you like the chatsubo? My inlaws almost bought me one, but i said no thanks. Should I have said yes?
