They will track it until it is delivered but you might want to try entering the tracking number into your local postal service's tracking system.
The local tracking will be faster once it's in your country.

Wha...? All that mention of a package about to arrive, and no pictures..??

Okay, I am a bit confused. I currently have a couple of packages headed my way from Japan. When I put them into the local post system, I get (with the top being more recent):

Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Foreign International Dispatch

But for the other one, I have the same two statements, but the order is reversed... is that just a goof....?

*twiddle thumbs* :D

Drax you need to enter it on the Japanese tracking site:

Huh, crazy, that's where I've been putting it in (I just tested it out on USPS to see if I'd see anything different). I'm getting the same thing -- no info after it leaves Japan.

In fact, my package just came about an hour ago! Woo hoo! (: And... apparently the postman is making two trips, so I might get something later today, too... (double woo hoo...?)

Yay! Congrats!! Yeah, there is not much tracking on this end. Just that it arrives and departs from customs.

Can't wait to see home pics of these lovelies!

My cup is now in Sweden :) In the wrong part of the country, and due to a lot(!) of snow it may take a while for it to get here, but still :)

I received my piece yesterday, 1/5. It's certainly a beautiful cup from which I have already enjoyed drinking. It's smallish in it's tea volume but that only makes each sip more wonderful. It's a great pleasure to have such a cup and have the ability to be a part of this SO that Chip did a fantastic job putting together.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to partake in upcoming SOs.

This is a really awesome SO, I think if you ordered this one, you will really love it.
Wow, you weren't kidding, Chip. I noticed the inner lines staining after my first cup of sencha! Mine also has freckles on the inner surface... (:

I was just going to say someting to the same effect. For the number of people that say they have received theirs the tread is incredibly absent in photos! As I personally always enjoy seeing them in action or in more life like situations than the Mago Photo shoots.

OK, but I hope others will share theirs as well! I usually do not post photos before most everyone receives theirs, usually because I am about last to receive, making sure everyone elses is shipped before worrying about my SO pieces getting shipped.

You can post your photos here, and in the Hagi topic! SO 13 Tempest is begging to have their photos taken!

Crackles you say. Sansai seem to show crackles instantly. After a few uses, but they were there after the first few steeps.

And after maybe 20 or so steeps, crackles are just beginning to show on the outside.

Really beautiful Chip, feeling the pangs now for not getting one.
Ouch.
