If I were a Hagi cup, and someone poured YM into me as my first tea, I would "open up" too in order to absorb some of that magic elixer!

Awww you guys, I haven't put tea in mine yet because I'm too entranced by the way the white glaze inside plays with the light... I don't want to interrupt it! We'll see. All of my other pieces have been introduced... we'll see how long I hold out.

You could always do what I did... if you want to leave it untouched and uncrackled... I have 2 of the tebineri san sai pieces. One is untouched, and one is crackled to high heaven. Its fun to compare the two, and it highlights the progression of the one I use all the time. So, I say unto you, fellow Hagi-philes, if in doubt, buy two of each!

I did exactly that--still awaiting their arrival--but intend to use both of them. I was thinking of evening out their use but maybe it would be fun to try to maximize the difference.

my hagi still stuck in customs, transfered to the local office, but i didn't get the green letter from them, yet... so i have to wait again...
