OTTI Suggestions Topic, looking for tea ideas?

Don't give up so easily. I might be encouraged to spill ...
I am quite psyched about it!

How about an OTTI "crossover teas" edition? like the black/oolongs or green/oolongs?

Neat idea--the crossover. Several types of teas from one tea-growing area or producer or cultivar of tea could be just as interesting as several producers/cultivars/tea-growing areas' versions of one type of tea. A green and white and a regular black darjeeling, a puerh and green and white tea from the same Yunnan mountain....

Or even some of this aged white tea they're talking about in another thread.

young and aged from the same place.....
really ambitious version:
1 current year, one aged a few years each of white tea, wuyi oolong, and maybe a gentle sheng puerh

Not sure I'd buy in to a complete mystery OTTI, however, because a black tea OTTI might do me in.
+1 on both
coded labelling is great
and a very complete mystery OTTI would not be great I think - at least the theme of it has to be told
but blind tasting is something I really like

I'd like a "The other Japanese greens" OTTI, as in no sencha, gyokuro or matcha.
It could be like 3 kukicha, 3 genmaicha, 3 houjicha.
I've never had any of these and they often only come in 200 g bags so it's not easy to just try a few outside of a group tasting.
Doing all of them individually would be fine too, I just thought this might be a nice theme.
For the record, I'd love both a gyokuro and matcha OTTI as well!

I have already penciled in a kukicha OTTI, had not thought about genmai and hoji ... (mostly because I usually make my own)
I would like to do a kuki one all by itself since it is a broad area. Kuki, karigane, houji-kuki, sencha byproduct, gyo byproduct, a combo of the two, etc. There is actually too much to cover in just one OTTI for kuki.

I also like the idea about the mystery OTTI. it would be nice to have for example 4-5 grade of the same tea /like in the case of TGY/ without knowing which is which and then we could compare our personal rankings.
And who gues right, would win something, hehe.
