Re: Wood Fired Ceramics by Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery)
Hi everyone,
Finally have a little sunshine outside and took some pictures. I usually get pretty close with indirect/overcast daylight and a flash, but nothing is better than the sun for true color. Here are a few items from the last firing... some have the sunlight on them some don't and you can see the difference
\
.
Wish it was always sunny out... but that's out of my control.
Cheers for now,
Bill

The tan one is sweet! I don't usually go for that color, but I'm loving it.
A beauty of a turquoise up on the site too, or is it this same one? Someone needs to swoop it!

Re: Wood Fired Ceramics by Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery)
Just another turquoise teabowl (with a little wabi-sabi) I recently added to my etsy shop. I have quite a few items of interest in there now. Anyone from Teachat that shops there, just mention who you are in the note from buyer to seller section or in a convo and I will credit you a 10% refund of the purchase price, into your paypal. And as always, if your shipping cost is lower than the quote, I always will issue a refund through paypal. I have no interest in profiting on shipping. I just need to put an amount that covers most shipping distances. If your closer to New York and I didn't screw-up my estimation, I will refund you. If you're in one of the far corners of the US from me, I eat the loss. I shoot for the average.
Thanks and I keep listing a few a day,
Bill

Re: Wood Fired Ceramics by Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery)
Glad you like it! And thank you for taking the time to post this. Nice pictures by the way! The flame and ash make the turquoise show and the other side, the purple, is the reduction side... meaning lack of oxygen (and flame and ash). It's a sweet little bowl. Enjoy!Victoria wrote:Love my new cup! Purple AND Turquoise!
Cheers and thank you for visiting my shop,

Re: Wood Fired Ceramics by Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery)
Hi TCers,
I wanted to share that my wife and I are having a His and Hers Sale. This is not a one day sale like Cyber Monday Sale was, but ongoing, probably until Christmas.
"SPLITFIREPOTTERY and MACARROLL BEADS: Buy one item, get the 2nd of equal or lesser value at 25% off. For every pair of purchases from Bill's shop, MaryAnn's shop or one from each shop... "
If you see a pair of purchases you like, convo me on etsy and I will reserve them for you and make the price adjustment on the second item and adjust shipping to reflect correct shipping costs from Splitfirepottery.
Please convo me if you have any questions.
Happy Holidays!!
Bill and Mary Ann
Go to: http://www.etsy.com/shop/splitfirepottery and/or http://www.etsy.com/shop/macarroll to see her lovely ceramic beads and pendants, buttons, toggles, jewelry, etc.
This takes the place of the 10% off for TCers offer.

Re: Wood Fired Ceramics by Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery)
Here is my new teacup from Bill and I am in love! I have always liked the looks of his turquoise cups, but wanted something smaller, and he made this one for me. The glaze is absolutely spectacular and the snape is so great for smelling the tea aroma! I was actually late getting back to work this afternoon because I just had to try it. I ended up taking it to work with me and back home again. I've used it all day and am using it at this moment. Thank you so much Bill!

Uber nice work, Bill and IPT. It is great that our TAs are willing and able to work with us to create special pieces that are so often unique as well.
Re: Wood Fired Ceramics by Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery)
I got this one in the mail today, and I'm very happy with it
I plan to use it mostly for gyokuro but I'm still waiting for new supplies of that, so for now it is being used for Zhu Ye Quing green tea and it works very well for that too.

Thanks Nenugal, glad you like it I have finally had a chance to get back to throwing. I made some teaware for my tea drinking friends. They come out so nice in that purple/turquoise oribe and off-white liner.
Back to work...
