Hello everyone--I've been lurking around the board for a while, soaking up the wealth of tea knowledge here, and finally decided to sign up officially, since my tea obsession doesn't seem to be going away!
I'm just south of Seattle, and a pretty new tea drinker--I've only started drinking it seriously for about two years, ever since a friend introduced me to a wonderful local tea shop and how to brew tea 'properly' (i.e. gongfu method instead of stewing grocery store green tea for 3-5 minutes at a time). Who knew the bitter, grassy-tasting stuff I'd been drinking could be so good when brewed properly? Thankfully even coffee-obsessed Seattle has enough tea shops to satisfy my new addiction--though the shop that introduced me to tea will always be my favorite ...
I don't have any one tea that I love above all others, though there are Wuyi oolongs and a few green teas that come close. I look forward to learning more about all of them from everyone on this board, however!

Thanks, and will do! Don't worry, just 'Hope' is fine--my username is an older one, and probably a bit cheesy, but oh well--it's what I'm used to.Chip wrote:Hi Hope ... er Dawn ... errr ...
