OK, vague hints abound there!

Save your TeaBucks. I am shooting to have this go live BEFORE December 25th if all goes well. Transactions will not have to be finalized quite so quickly due to the holiday, but you won't want to miss securing one of these!
May I suggest the 17th, it is a nice date that is BEFORE December 25th, and far enough into the future to give 3 days notice...
Since we celebrate Christmas the 24th in Sweden, and which country's customs "Christmas" he was referring to was not specified, the 24th should be the dead line, and not the 25th! :)

The 14th (today!) is the birthday of someone important who also loves Hagi. :D Why wait?

Well, unlike Hojo, I am not a god. I am just a country Hagiphile.

Seriously, this is an optimistic crap shoot to see if we can bring this together by mid next week. I do not rush the artisan nor Mago ... knowing the best work is not rushed and also Mago works best w/o pressure from me. It is a lesson in patience.

I am so incredibly anxious for this SO, soooo, if it is possible, I will make it so.

However, if I cannot bring it to fruition (live) by next Wednesday or Thursday (thus notify everyone by Sunday or Monday) I will do the right thing and shoot for right after Christmas. A lot of this is obviously out of my control ... by around 12,000 miles.

OK, I am targeting this Thursday 12/23/10 at 6 pm Eastern USA time for going live for this SO 14.

This is subject to a few things occurring that are beyond my control around 10,000 miles away. I will post further info here as I know more as well as if there is a change, but it will NOT be ealrlier than this date and time.

Also, I will post the new SO 14 official topic exactly 15 minutes prior. I will also open my photobucket album (link will be in the post) 15 minutes early. This will give everyone an opportunity to take a look and submit your choices via PM to me on or after 6 pm for best selection.

Wow, I'm anxious to see just what kind of piece this is going to be. I have my hopes up that it will be a particular style of his that I've been admiring from afar for a while :)

Sounds great!

Out of curiosity, how are you going to guarantee that everybody's 6pm is the same....?

I think that the time when the official thread goes live is the "official 6 pm" :)

EDIT: Oh never mind, Chip said the official thread goes live 15 minutes prior.

I believe the time is official teachat time based on Eastern Standard time in the US.

Well, I go into the TeaCave atop Fuji and keep delving deeper and deeper into the dwelling ... turns out the back door is in eastern PA.

I have to go by time received in my PM inbox. If it is time stamped 6 pm, it is good. So, ultimately, it is by TeaChat time which seems to be network time as well.

So, if your PM time stamp says 5:59 (or whatever time zone you are in), then resend at 6 pm Eastern to be safe.
