Friday TeaDay 12/24/10 Traveling, tea?

by Chip » Dec 24th, '10, 00:56

Ho ho ho, merry TeaDay everyone. Please drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the TeaDay!

Yesterday we discussed Tea/Teaware increase miracles before the end the 2010. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. It is Christmas Eve in the USA, and I wondered if members are traveling this holiday weekend, where are you, where are you going? Bonus, is Tea traveling with you (name it)?

I am looking forward to sharing this very merry TeaDay with everyone.

I'm visiting some family up north from the 26th to the 30th. Will be bringing tea with, though plan on having some from their stashes as well. :D

No traveling for Christmas--have to hold the fort at work over this holiday--but will be taking tea with me for a delayed holiday visit shortly after.

Honyama Zairai sencha from Norbu this morning, drinking the nutty sweet tea from my large Seigan Sansai Hagi, warming chilly fingers.

Not far, the next city over. Not taking tea for me to drink, but a gifting for my sister-in-law. It's a 2nd flush Darjeeling, her preference.

:)

I will go to my dads house about an hour away for a few hours tomorrow if that counts as traveling. Its my weekend to work, but because its christmas one of my coworkers will be splitting the shift tomoro. I will probably take tea with me. (and hopefully bring even more back :) )

I visited family yesterday for the Holidays, so I'm done traveling. I did not bring tea; it's not a big deal for me to go a while without it.

2010 'Subtropical Forest' Baozhong from TeaMasters today. Refreshing!

No traveling for me, so I can drink lots of tea right here at home. In my cup this morning, first Weng Jia Shan and then Shi Feng Long Jing. I still haven't found the right parameters - 180 degrees for 2 minutes was too hot or too long (or both), while 170 degrees for 1 minute wasn't enough. I'm sure I'll get it right eventually.

I went on vacation a week ago and on several of those days I had no tea at all. Good to know that I am not caffeine-dependent.

Christmas Eve is at our house, so no traveling but all will have good tea.

Jin jun mai a few minutes ago, with zhi lan xiang and kuradashi gyo coming up.

Happy holidays folks!

I'm technically travelling, but I'm at my mom's house as opposed to my dorm, so I'm also kind of home. And yes, I did bring tea, several kinds of sencha, some gyokuro, some herbal tisanes, some pu-erh, and some rose congou.

Pu-erh this morning and afternoon; iced green tea with dinner; currently drinking a hibiscus tisane.

Headed home to my parents - 8 hours in a overfilled train.
Took some tea with me 'cause my order of new tea is delayed.

Merry Christmas everyone
