What have I scored?

What have I scored?
I noticed this sitting in my mother in-law's cabinet a while ago. Today I asked her what it is. All she could tell me was that it is tea and that it is from China. My mother in-law is Chinese, but for her tea is only something to be offered to guests and every morning as an offering to her ancestors. She normally uses a cheap jasmine tea. I have never seen her using this one.
Anyway, when I asked her what tea it was she told me I could have it. So, can anyone here tell me anything about it?
While I'm typing this I am also brewing a pot of it.

Well how did it taste? If not jasmine, then it's probably Black Dragon Pearls a Yunnan black rolled tea.

Re: What have I scored?
Rdwrer, I think you have got it.
This tea has a peculiar taste which at first could be called awful. It has a very bitter taste which makes me think of chewing on spearmint leaves. There is a very faint green tea taste but this is massively over powered by a bitter spearmint taste.
I am sure it could lower blood pressure, cure a cold or sore throat, ward off cancer and help burn fat. Anything that tastes this bad must be good for you.
But to be fair, after reading the brewing suggestions on the link you supplied I realised I did steep it for about four minutes too long and in too small a tea pot. I think it needs about thirty seconds to a one minute infusion time and a much larger tea pot.
