Here at the office I am brewing the 8582 in a 100ml Gaiwan.

Good timing, I should be getting a new, and my smallest one yet(I think), purple clay pot in soon. Was a late gift.

ok brandon and seasoned pu drinkers....
so if I'm brewing in 100ml gaiwan what do you suggest for brew times and leaf amounts?
Should I pour on one spot of gaiwan or all over all leaves or on wall?

Do you double rinse?
How long is your first rinse/second rinse?
Best to let it sit awhile after rinse with pu or just continue after a few secs?


Also would a purion pot suit pu?

Maybe this will be my excuse to finally buy a smaller clay pot. Anyone know a reliable source for ones in the 60-90 mL range?

Small yixing pots in that size are relatively hard to find, and they tend to be much more expensive (I gather from the difficulty level)...

Yunnan Sourcing has a few in the 100-120mL range...

Indeed, but too bad that you have to wait a while for the delivery, and shipping to the US is at least $13.

However I would suggest participants wait to receive and sample before checking out the review so they can be more unbiased in their tastings.

A 60ml gaiwan is a very handy alternative, mine sees more tea than the rest of my brewing vessels combined. It was part of cheap tea set but the tea gallery ones look nice for the price. Unless of course you have one and are looking for an excuse to buy a little pot.

Tim's 40ml pots might be worth a look, even if you don't buy one they are nice to look at.

Likewise, my 60mL gaiwan has been the champion of late. I use less tea, attempt more steeps, and get less wired.

I guess I'd like a 60-90mL pot for the same effect, but the bonus of being clay. Also, I just measured my young sheng-devoted clay pot and it comes in a 200mL. No wonder I don't use it that often...

hmmm, sounds like a pot is gonna have to come sooner or later

Just had a look around and can't really see anything aside from Tim's pots under 100ml, that's a bit rubbish. Maybe ask Chen at Zisha teapot?

I have an 80ml Hongni pot from TeaMasters; I'm really happy with it. The pour is a bit slow, but it was only $50. I use it for aged Sheng.

Oops, I thought Stephane had more than one, but it appears it has sold out.
