Spring seems so far away; it can't get here quick enough! I'm currently enjoying a nice cuppa blackberry tea by the warmth of my tetsubin's cast iron warmer. I always look forward to new harvests and trying new teas. I've been pleased with Teavana's recent harvest, particularly with their 'Maharaja Chai' Oolong. However, I've just discovered Adagio and am loving all that they offer through my boyfriend's samplers.

congratulations auhckw! - when will be the date?

Not really counting the days to spring, but counting the days when finally there will be some light at the time I have to get up in the morning. Hate this absolute darkness.

A sample of 2007 Bu Lang Shan Ripe Pu-erh from YS in my cup. It is a Shu but I would say a nice one - nothing unpleasant about it, very forgiving in the brewing and mellow and a little sweet.

Plus you live in a warm climate ... er hot. You likely welcome the Winter.

I just happened to count down a week or so ago, just happened to be wondering how many days til Spring ... it was 75 days to go. Then I wondered how many days til SHINCHA began, add 15-25 days to that.

Although I have not counted the days since, every time I step outside, I am wishing Spring was here, brrrrrrrr. I am happy with the teas currently available, so I am quite content tea-wise. However, come March, I am certain to be thinking of Shincha much much more.

It's never too early to count down the days until spring.

I feel like counting down the days till spring makes it go slower. Not that the seasons change here

I'm definitely counting the days until Spring. I can't wait until the daffodils and hyacinths pop up. But as far as tea goes, I'm just now trying out my new winter Taiwanese oolongs, so Spring teas aren't on my mind yet.

In the spring I can renew my love affair with Chinese greens. Winter is now the season of puerh - which I never would have tried without Teachat. As a bonus, my resident coffee drinker has developed a fondness for puerh, so now I have a "control group" to help me assess bitterness.

I´m definitely looking forward to spring...I really get tired of the snow and cold and darkness of winter... :?

Also as a little bonus to the warmer weather, longer days and brighter colours of spring there´s the new tea harvests becoming available. I´ll most likely be going for some shincha this year...and there´s a chance I´ll buy some first flush darjeeling and perhaps even sample some fresh high grade Chinese greens.

I guess I could say I am counting down, and saving up! As Shincha is expensive, especially if you over do it a little like I sort of did last year.

Oh man, you're right, spring -is- coming soon. I really have to clear out a lot of this old tea to make room...I'm really really trying hard not to buy any more tea until I use up what I've got.

I'm looking forward to Spring, but I'm not tired of Winter yet. I usually start to get sick of it in late February.

Anyway, I'm definitely excited about new harvests. I plan on picking up some 2011 Shincha, maybe a few Chinese greens, and of course some Sheng (EoT specifically).

I'm looking forward to shincha season and also to the melting of the snow and ice outside. I had to search a pile of snow to find my car today...

Looking forward to spring, and a new grandniece due with it's arrival. But no particular concerns about harvests, because most of the teas I drink are not particularly closely tied to the harvest--puerhs and darker oolongs, chinese whites and greens that keep fairly well for as long as it takes me to go through them. It's really only the green oolongs and sencha where it makes a difference, and I have plenty of those, I think, to last me to the next harvest....
