Hi, I am new here so let me introduce myself. (just few words becuse English is not my best side)
My name is Andrzej Bero and I am a potter from Warsaw, Poland.
I have about 20 years experience in this field (I mean beginner).
Ceramics related to tea was from the beginning one of my focus. It came from my fascination of Japanese aesthetic rather than tea itself.
I work in stoneware of different types (from smooth to heavy grogy) and colours (whitish - dark brown) many times using white or black angobe under the glaze.
I fire in electric kiln 1200 C or 1250 C and use my own glaze, mostly matt and ash glaze.
Besides ceramic I am a father of 3 children (1-5-8) what prevent me to call myself "full time potter";)
Below I can show you some examples of my work.
I am waiting for any questions, coments, sugestions and critical opinions from TC members. I will try to update my works and activites here.

so Chip, some more kyusu, hope you like them too. Not for everyone pink is a noble colour but I am fascinating in it now.

Adam - very good choice... that is my favourite
Mosshorn - very good choice... that is my favourite
Dave - Hallo! I wanted to say I do not use commercial, ready glazes (but I do use frits and red angobe). It does not mean I gather stones, smash them and grind. I just mix ready igredients. Sorry I was not accurate in my first post.
for ex. in my glaze below there are frit, talc, nepheline syenite, kaoline, quartz, zircopax, bentonite.

That is quite funy we had to meet here. Anyway one more reason to thank for TeaChat. Sure I hope to see you in reality, too.
Last year I was in Cieszyn for Tea Festival. I do not know how far is it from your place. Next edition in summer...
Studio... hm... for sure nobody would like to see such a mess like is present but I have some pics from 2009

I am comfortable with teapots. That's something new for me. My first shiboridashi.
So I call for understanding;-) But critical opinion are realy welcome here (since there is no "artisan asks teaware user" topic:-) )

stunning ! I adore shiboridashi!

In my personal preference, I think notches in the lid help to release the brew better. Also the lid nub doesnt look as comfortable to hold as it could.

Wow, that looks great. I agree with Ambrose on the "lid nub", but don't most shiboridashi have really small one's like that? Just want to say though those items you made look fantastic.

Very nice first attempt. I am curious about the clay you used since it is unglazed.

I agree about the lid nob. But otherwise it looks great. Often shiboridashi are lower and wider, while houjin tend to be more upright like this one. Shiboridashi do tend to have a rake screen like yours, while houjin tend to have some kind of screening built in.
