Tea and moods.
Here's a bit of an abstract question.
What kind of tea would you drink if you were in a angry mood?
How about a bitter mood? Sad?
Or would you not drink any tea at all?
I know this could have gone in any board but, I chose this one because black is how my mood feels like.

Ooh, that's an interesting question. I'm going to have to think of that. I do drink teas according to my mood or feelings, but I never thought about which ones I drink when.

Re: Tea and moods.
When I'm upset I'll drink my comfort tea: decaf red rose from tea bags. It's not because it's a particularly spectacular tea, it's because it was my comfort tea growing up. Whenever I was sick or upset, my mom would bring me a mug.
Comfort aside, when I'm in a bad mood I'm more likely to gravitate towards standard black teas like Irish Breakfast or Earl Grey. If I'm happy I'll drink one of my flavored teas like a custom pumpkin spice blend or cherry black.
Of course, that's because it's winter now. If it were summer I'd be going for my greens and whites - I find the type of tea I drink depends a lot on season too. In fact, my greens go largely untouched all winter just because I prefer the heartier blacks for the gray and cold weather.
Oolongs just seem to be for whenever I'm in the mood to drink one!

It's entirely possible that you may teach yourself to be in a bad mood if you drink a certain kind of tea when in a bad mood. Perhaps tea should be a..liquid reminder for us to relax instead.

When I'm having bad day / bad mood I tend to drink wuyi oolong, roasted tgy, and shu pu-erh to make myself feel better.
When I'm in a good / happy mood I tend to go lighter... the happier, the lighter/sweeter the tea, favorites are green tie guan yin, taiping houkui and good longjing.

I would say I drink oolong, white and shu to relax; blacks, greens and others when I need a pick-me-up.

I tend to go for Chinese green tea, kukicha, or a lighter Darjeeling when I'm in any sort of off mood. Sometimes I might go with a greener oolong.

Tea has a calming effect, no?
When I am happy, I drink whatever tea is in my desk drawer. When I'm sad or not as happy, I drink black tea.

For comfort I drink oolong. For calm, I drink greens.
I can't drink when I'm really depressed, waste of tea.
