I am surprised everyone is not clamoring, "where's my sheng???!!!???" .

It's been waiting around 20 years to be consumed... I think it can handle a few more days.

Well, it's easy to have patience when you're an inanimate object.

It depends... If you live in Ireland, Belgium, Zimbabwe, or anywhere else across the ocean, within about a week of the tea being sent out.

If you live in Canada, probably about two weeks. And that's only if Customs doesn't nab it. Then there's no telling...

Are you sure about Zimbabwe? And I am pretty sure to "anywhere else" it takes months

I'm in the spam-filter of my postoffice, 'cause of to many mails asking "where is my package from chip?"

Federal Express raised my blood pressure today. Here the driver has had my package of pouches from Sorbent for 2-3 days. He also reported that the package has the wrong address, NOT, I confirmed it with the CS person(s ... 3 different CS peeps til I finally received a promise of delivery today).

So, assuming they arrive today, I will likely break apart the 3 shengs and divvie it all up, put them into the sample pouches, pack 'em up and hopefully mail them out Monday or Tuesday.

Edit: So it is wisely pointed out that Malaysia is not in fact a dryer cli­mate, and a lot of the tea stored there results in some­thing quite “wet.” This was stored, then, quite inten­tion­ally to achieve a “dry” result. At the risk of mud­dy­ing the waters, please read Cloud’s take on Wet and Dry Stor­age.

Interesting posts....though MarshalN´s post was very focused on how people store and drink puerh in Hong Kong. Which as far as I know is quite a bit different from in Yunnan where I believe it´s quite a bit more common to drink unaged puerh...and if they do store it they don´t typically use ground storage...

This OTTI is specifically about aged puerh, and even more specifically attempting to highlight some different methods of storage.
