IngenuiTea steeper

Have you considered adding a coaster to this item? I had a similar product, from another company, and it came with a coaster. This was useful in keeping drips off the counter. It also kept the steeper from picking up unseen items from the counter, and depositing them in the tea. It would make this good product a great one. Please consider adding this to the existing product.

My IngenuiTea that I got 6 months ago actually came with a plastic coaster in the box, and I agree that it is very useful for preventing dripping.

I have purchased three of these and they always came with a coaster. It has been almost a year since my last purchase though, so maybe they changed something? It can have a few drips, so it is a good idea.

Both of mine had coasters. Maybe you should contact Adagio and let them know - they send you one.

They no longer have the coaster. This is a real disappointment. It is one thing to think that it never had one, but to know they intentionally got rid of it is a disappointment.

The drips kept getting bigger. I sent it back today. I do not recommend this product, unless you like obsessively cleaning up the counter.

Whoops, I meant to post this a while back. I also contacted them after noticing the Ingenuiteas I ordered this year were different from previous orders.

As other posters mentioned, they no longer come with the coaster. This isn't really a great loss to me since they drip so little I never bothered to use it (same with the Clever Coffee Dripper which comes with an identical coaster). The biggest difference is probably that the moving part in the base is now a darker plastic which I assume is meant to hide long-term staining from tea. I didn't really like the way it looked at first, but I don't notice anymore. They describe this as their "new model for 2011".
