I'm on my third or fourth infusion of shou mei, though I went with what tea I felt like drinking today as opposed to thinking I needed to drink a Chinese tea. Korea has an identical zodiac and celebrates the Lunar New Year as well, so I believe it could have been equally acceptable to indulge in a Korean green.

I'm starting the new rabbit-year with the last remains of my long jing. I expect to drink lots of Chinese tea this year, mostly green and oolong but sometimes yellow, white or green too.

I rang in the new Year with some very rare Puer. I hope the Year of the rabbit is joyful, safe, and prosperous for all!

definitely. A rabbit and compassion seem to go together. All the best for TCM!

I do not know what tea I'll have tonight, but I will likely hang the Chinese character for spring upside down in a window as I want spring to arrive quickly.

Ah, pardon my Faux Pas! Happy Korean New Year as well! I will endeavor to correct this oversight with Korean tea today! Such a rewarding penance!karmaplace wrote:I'm on my third or fourth infusion of shou mei, though I went with what tea I felt like drinking today as opposed to thinking I needed to drink a Chinese tea. Will also most likely have at least one Chinese tea to celebrate the new year. However began the TD with Zencha Kiwami from Japan who is not celebrating the Chinese New Year as I recall ... with the Mrs. brewed exceptionally well!

They're celebrating in Vietnam too, but it's not the year of the rabbit there; it's the year of the cat!Chip wrote:Ah, pardon my Faux Pas! Happy Korean New Year as well! I will endeavor to correct this oversight with Korean tea today! Such a rewarding penance!

I will most likely have a chinese tea today because thats what i have the most of at my house. My drinking chinese tea isnt really to celebrate the new year.
Starting the day with Taiwan ruby tea. looks like another heavy tea day, still below freezing outside, trying to stay inside and stay warm.

Hou de's shui xian for breakfast. Perhaps Jing's Imperial long jing in mid-afternoon and Lao Cong Zhi Lan Xiang dancong after supper.
Happy New Year folks.
