I'm fast depleting my sample of dragon well, but I don't think I've gotten a really good brew out of it yet. There always seems to be a tiny bite of bitterness as an aftertaste. I've tried:
3g / 180f / 3min per 8oz water
3.5g / 170f / 2-3min per 8oz water
3.5g / 160f / 2min per 8oz water
More/less tea? More/less time? Higher/lower temp?

Oh yeah, it's dragon well from adagio. I almost forgot some of you are like scientists when it comes to this stuff.

Do you know approximately what leaf weight/amount and how many ounces of water you used? For me, 170/180 and 3min produced the most bitterness. Maybe I'm using too much leaf?

Try 1.5 minutes, and let me know how that goes.

Try 1.5 minutes, and let me know how that goes.
It's definitely free of bitterness at 1.5min, but the flavor seems weak...or maybe that's how it's supposed to taste?

Yeah, I have a My Weigh 300-z that I got after reading so many mentions of it in this forum.

Ah, some success today.
3g / 170f / 1.5min per 8oz water
Little less leaf, less time like FataliTEA suggested. I think I kept overbrewing it because I was expecting a more overbearing flavor.
