So, my Rishi Silverneedle arrived today, and my heart sings with joy as my taste buds had the pleasure of experiencing white tea at its finest! Does anyone else Drink Rishi Silverneedle or Rishi teas in general?

Yeah, I'm the local mascot for Rishi. I think their silver needle is devine. They were the first to offer authentic and organic white tea to the US.

Silver needle in general is a great tea! I'll have to try rishi's sometime though and give it a whirl.

I drink a lot of Rishi, mostly because they're right here in Milwaukee and it's fast to ship and/or available in some stores.

Driking a cup of their Darjeeling Silver Tips as I type this.

I think the only thing not so I hot I've ever tried from them was some green Snow Sprout tea. I bought it from a store though, and for all I know it had been on the shelf for ages.

The prices can be a little steep, but the quality seems worth it.

I picked up a tin of their Honeydew Mellon White tea from Wegmans the other day. It sure is good, my only complaint is that its so expensive. I think this would make a great iced tea as well, but it is way too pricy for my daily iced tea consumption. Anyone have any thoughts on doing multiple infusions one right after another and using it for iced tea?

I am a fiend for Rishi Tea. I am fortunate enough to work in retail, and Rishi is one of my vendors, so I get a chance to talk with them, receive samples.

I have the anciet tree teas green lilly [which i do not think has any lillies] I got it at Williams Sonoma on a credit and it is really good green tea I love it. Very mellow and sweet.

I doubt i would buy it again though because it's pretty damn pricey.

Rishi Steep time recommendation

Silver needle in general is a great tea! I'll have to try rishi's sometime though and give it a whirl.

Anyone else find the Rishi Silver Needle recommendation steep time of 4-5 minutes @ 185F excessive. I did it at a cooler temperature for 4 minutes and it was a bit bitter. 2 minutes was just about right. Plus I was able to get 5 infusions without any loss in taste.

i actualy do mine for 15 minutes, in accordance to reccomendations set by "The Tea Companion" and i must say i love my low temp brewed 15 minutes of purity in a cup

nah, I do mine for 5 minutes at 185, and I definitely wouldn't describe it as bitter.

Tomasini: soundse interesting, I should try that. What temperature do you use.

Don't tell Space, but I might try some of their sencha from Kagoshima. I am a huge fan of Kagoshima sencha, which is very hrd to find here. O-Cha's is very good, but only one to choose from.
