I have a couple of tea shops nearby with decent but not great tea....in cases where I am running out of attractive teas in the house I stop by one of them to pick up some more to hold me over until my next big overseas order arrives :)

Drive to work and raid the office stock to tide me over until I can get to the nearby tea store, and while sipping some of that, get online and get more express shipped.

But seriously, I have gotten rather ruthless with 'dregs'--unloved teas go to feed the worms, unless they're one of those few I just happen not to like, but otherwise seeming good--those go to tea friends who like black teas or jasmines more than I. And my puerh stocks could see me through several years without replenishment, although I might go stir crazy with oo-longing and be green-with-envy of the rest of you.....

Today, Yunnan silver needles to start, then Black Ruby from Taiwan, both via Norbu; some Jiang Hua Xiang 'commercial' dan cong, and ending with an white tea given to a friend, "Drum Mountain White Cloud Tea", light and lovely.

No panic, it's a chance to get rid of the old bags of supermarket quality black/red tea and jasmine tea that have been neglected for a long time. At the same time, ordering new tea from the source country, cheapest mode of delivery, not express.

I'd take my chances with the dregs. There might be a forgotten gem among the stale stuff.

Having some White Peony today.

I'll drink something else, tea is not the only drink i enjoy. For example juice, water or ... cola! :)

I couldn't imagine running out, but if I did I'd suffer the dregs and possibly hit up the local tea shops(not the best of tea, but not the worse) while I wait for a shipment of something better.

No tea right now, just trying to decide what to bring with me as I head to my sister's for a few days. Decisions, decisions...

Luckily, being in Korea, a quick walk to the nearest mart results in awesome teas.

But, if I run out of something non-Korean, I'll put in an online shipment. Luckily Korean websites also sell some different kinds of black teas and Chinese teas, and the shipping is quick here.

I'm going to have my first bit of tea now at 7 PM on my second leg of classes, and it's a Teavana dreg I'm trying to get rid of. Happy birthday to me indeed.

No "the older the better" option? I drink tons of teas that are 3 years (or more) old.

Not likely to run out of tea!

I suppose it is feasible that I might run out of Oolong, though unlikely for I have so much.

My love for Malaysian aged Sheng has resulted in me buying a fair amount of 2002 - 2006 Sheng to be drunk in many, many years time.

I did not buy them, these are Shengs from private collections that tea friends bring in to the shops for evryone there to enjoy. Every now and then someone drops in and says to the owner "I just dug this out of my collection, I think it is just about at it's peak, what do you think?"

Of course if I am sitting round the table with the owner then I get to try them also. The owner usually then selects one of his own aged teas for comparison. :D Lucky me :D

There are some aged ones to buy 1000RM a bing or more

No - I have been buying Sheng both in Malaysia and online, to drink a long time from now, if I run out of Oolong I can always break open a Sheng to see how it is doing!

My great grandchildren will be drinking some of the tea I have now.
