Being in the discovery phase, I don't often reorder the same tea unless it is to stock it (mostly puerh.) I really enjoy tasting new stuff all the time.

After YM Supreme from O-Cha, testing the effect of my new Chao Zhou teapot on Hojo's Lao Ban Zhang. So far so good.

Silver needle from 2010 this morning. Over time, seems to have traded the sharper floral taste with something more rounded and thicker. Good, but really craving a dancong. None to be found at the moment!

Something similar once happened to me, I ordered some loose-leaf green tea from a shop, and it turned out that the particular tea I wanted was sold out. I was offered to either wait for a long time, or they would send me several bags of other types of tea instead. This was in the beginning when I was getting to know tea, so I accepted, and thought it would be a nice chance to taste some new types of tea.
Two days later, I got a package with 6 different boxes of teabags, that were past the best before date.

Now, I'm drinking a large cup of Adagio's Irish Breakfast tea.

If you are ordering the same tea from the same vendor, it should be the same as previous. If not, I would be changing vendors.

I can't say I've had this problem before, not counting variation from harvest to harvest.

Not much tea today due to travel, but last night I found out I can brew sencha without breaking anything or scolding myself when drunk enough I don't even remember doing it.

Saturday was a great TD. Began with Hosen from Ippodo and then Kaoru Organic matcha with the Mrs. Finished with a very good everyday tea, Musashi from O-Cha.

Oh, and day 3 of the Pu-OTTI #2.
