Re: HAGI ROCK! SSO by Shibuya Eiichi
I didn't get in on this one, but am wondering if there is another place online to view photos of the style of hagi you are talking about. "Hagi Rock" turns up only this thread.

The ones pictured on this page are Eiichi's rock style Hagi pieces.

Re: HAGI ROCK! SSO by Shibuya Eiichi
Glad to see everyone's interest in the ROCK SO. Per the guidelines established by Mago for the SOs, he requests questions to be channeled through your friendly Moderator.
Obviously he is too polite to say this to a member asking a question, but this allows him to focus his energies where they need to be, and reduces stress and errors for the 20 or so participants.
So, please feel free to ask me any questions via PM or post ... if via post, this includes everyone in the process. If I do not know, I will get the answer for everyone to read. Perhaps other members have a similar question.
This also keeps everyone on an equal plane for the SOs.
Thank you for understanding,
Chip

Great news! I have the photos of the ROCKs! They are quite spectacular.
So please keep your eye on this topic as well as your Private Messsages!!
These are "next gen" ROCKs in that previously they were partially wheeled then built up by hand ... NOW these are complete Tebineri, pinch, buit up by hand, so no wheel.
There are still 2 spots open for this ROCK SSO. Please PM me if interested!

I have just sent PMs to everyone who has sent a deposit for a ROCK! Please check your PMs if you have paid a deposit for a ROCK!
I somehow made an error initially in the password, but have corrected it. Sorry about that. Please do not throw ROCKs at me!

After an heart attack when, trying to put the right password, the website basically told me "Sorry, too many failed logins, bybye" I finally managed to get in !
I think I have chosen my four favourite yunomi, but choosing between them is going to be a tough one. I think I am going to bring the pictures to work to look them up on a (really) big screen !

If you did not pre-commit to this SSO 16 Eiichi ROCK, I will be posting this on Saturday along with the stunning photos! !!!
If you did pre-commit, then you should have received a PM dated March 13th with all the info and photo link. Remember to get back to me by the deadline this Friday or Saturday Morning ... of course you can reply sooner as many have already.

If I had time to hunt down everything, I'd simply post three pictures:
A ghost (likely one from the Super Mario Bros games).
A cup of tea (I wonder where I'd find one of those...?).
And a picture of Garfield on his back with his hand on top of his round belly (and maybe a "burp" quote).
What's that spell?
Boo-tea-full.
Yes, indeed. So instead of 3 simple pictures, I wrote this missive instead.
Seriously though, they turned out very awesome! As though cleft from the snowy peak of Fuji-san itself.

I think there are still 2 spots available, but there are some reasons that I have to skip this one although I'm sure I will regret it.Drax wrote:Chip said there were 2 slots available as of 13 March... is that still the case, Chip?Nenugal wrote:No rock for me

At least I have the commission to look forward to...

I want to block this thread from appearing in active topics. I hate the constant reminder of what I'm missing.
In some months I'm going to be trying to buy one of these off of one of you.

I'm pretty sure that when mine arrives I'll be doing my best Gollum impression, petting it and crooning 'my precious' ....
