don't care for the design but the shape looks like it'd be really comfortable to hold while drinking- some cups just feel awkward

Love the cup.

I need to get some new teaware, especially Japanese. I am definately looking.

I need some new yunome. I have been using the same very simple 90 ml one for 7 years. The same 2 kyusu for almost as long. They have served me very well...kinda weird, but they are dear to me.

But it is time to let them rest on a shelf where they can watch new kyusu and cups handle the daily grind.

Since I love Japanese maples (and grow around 10 different cultivars in my yard), I am looking for this leaf motif. I envision myself sipping sencha under a Japanese maple in my yard while watching koi swim peacefully in my pond. My little Japan.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

...lol, I envision this CynTEAa...

It will be many years til I can actually sit under one of these trees since they are still quite young. When I see pictures of Japanese gardens...I just sigh...

Patience is not one of my virtues.

These cups in real are very small and here in UAE and Gulf countries are very famous. We use it to drink coffee because these cups are special for coffee. Also it comes in different colors and desgins. In this picture, it's very simple but many of these cups are amazing.

I always encourage purchasing authentic Japanese teaware made special by true artists, not mass-produced items, if one wants to have a more enlightened drinking experience. Though tastes may vary, I appreciate the "beauty in imperfection" aesthetic of Japanese pottery.
Here's a good summary of yunomi types:
http://www.e-yakimono.net/html/yunomi-jt.html
Here's a couple places to look:
http://www.inbeya.com I was sent an email notifying me of a week-long or so (I forget) sale of 20% off starting the 14th on this month. check them out.
http://stores.ebay.com/MAGOKORODO Always beautiful yunomi, sometimes some steep prices, sometimes not.
The prices aren't always high, but the shipping can make it pricey, but you're getting it from the source. Support the tea culture and enhance your tea experience! :)

It's a beautiful cup - lovely to look at and wonderful to hold. I'm always searching tea sites for beautiful and unique teaware.
