I store my tea ware by type first, then by country and whether it is a new piece or an antique, but I'm running out of room!

Other.....by balancing degree of risk from being closer to the front of a shelf/cabinet/counter vs ease of use of having favorites close to hand....so many of the nicest pieces are towards the back of the cabinet/shelf/counter, less likely for me or a small earthquake to topple them....

Right now my one cupboard from left to right starts with cups and then moves into pots and brewing vessels, mostly organized by size. All my chawan are also together at the moment.

Organizing in the future will depend on space available.

I have Wuyi cinammon oolong at work today. Mmmm. And I've got a ROCK soaking at home waiting for me to test it out after I'm done!!! :D

You got your rock already? Wow, that was quick! I guess that means mine should arrive very quickly.

Yeah, there's no SAL to Korea, so it was shipped EMS. I've noticed it usually only takes about three days for me to receive things from Japan.

Karma, thanks for reminding me, I need to soak the ROCK, I guess I am not thinking about it right now (or trying not to) as I only have around 2 grams of sencha in the house.

Definitely by nation first. Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, Taiwanese ... all segregated. Then for Japanese, by region, and then by type. I think it would bother me any other way. This is likely as much about personality as anything else.

Might finish off the sencha momentarily ...

Mine's been soaked and baptized with Korean green.

I'm hoping you get your hands on some shincha soon!

Ha! My tea ware cabinet is like the wild west. They're all fighting for land and it's getting dangerous.

Tea was a failure this morning. I tried to have some taiwan SX, but frankly, I can't stomach the stuff any more. Ran out of time and had to run to work after a tea-tease. No fun.

By nation. Got a japanese corner for teapots and chawan. Hagi and over japanese cups are spread a little everywhere.

I've got all the teaware that I use regularly on one shelf. I'm planning to move my still-small puerh collection to a different cabinet, to free up space, so I'll have to decide if I should split up my teaware also. Right now the only teaware that's just for puerh is my small Tea Gallery gaiwan, so it's not a big issue yet.

In my cup this morning, the second day of drinking the malaysian-stored puerh from the OTTI. Now I'm thinking that 6 grams of puerh is enough to form an opinion, and I'm planning on buying a raft of samples from EOT.

An odd start to the TD, first TC was completely "down" followed by realization that there was a grand total of 2.25 grams of sencha in the house.

So lastly, Hagi watched the first tea of the day for the first time in around a year. Today, one of our TA's, GreenwoodStudio (Shawn's), beautiful new cups ... and the last of the sencha. Organic Sencha from Rishi with the Mrs.

A catastrophe followed by a disaster, eh?
But what the heck was up with TeaChat earlier today?

I don't organize my tea at all. It's all just a huge chaos, which is the way I like it.

Having some White Peony today.

Spoken like a true Viking ... but I doubt a Viking would be sipping White Peony!

The domain name registration had expired ... should not have happened, but **it happens. 8) So I called up Adagio and they fixed the problem.
