Tuesday TeaDay 4/12/11 Would you rather ... mediocriTEA
Greetings everyone. Welcome to TeaDay. Please drop in and share what is in your cup with us and discuss today's topic.
Yesterday we discussed "crossbrewing." You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Would you rather ... under extreme circumstances, have a relatively mediocre tea, or none at all. Please share!
We are looking forward to sharing today's TeaDay with ... everyone.

As long as we're talking mediocre and not BAD, definitely mediocre over none.
I had a nice bowl of tenkei tori matcha today, and I'll be continuing to drink up some Uji karigane gyokuro that I started with lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet and refreshing it is. Mmmm.

I couldn't go to long with no tea so would have to put up with a mediocre tea, I would probably whinge a bit while drinking though....Life is way too short for poor tea

I am seriously considering drinking only high end teas, getting rid of the basic stuff, even if it means drinking less tea in the end. So about mediocreTea...

Hmmm.....probably mediocriTEA, depending on the alternatives available. Fortunately, this morning enjoying a good Zairai sencha in my ROCK, so nothing mediocre involved.

I often mis-brew, so am quite used to drinking mediocre stuff because of my own ineptitude. I much prefer it to no tea at all.
No tea so far today, and now it's too late.

If good tea is at hand, I am a TeaSnob, but on a rare ocassion, I will even use a standard teabag and can even enjoy it a little. However, this is acceptable once or twice a year maybe and when I am away from the good stuff.
Began the TD with Yutaka Midori from Umami-Chaya with the Mrs. Next up, Aoi from O-Cha. Nothing mediocre happening on the TeaFront today.

It would depend how long I have to wait for a good tea. Like, if I was at a restaurant and all they had was Lipton, I'd wait until I got home.
Rose congou all day today; currently drinking some gyokuro.

I could drink mediocre tea for a very short time but that's all. I am a tasting junkie and mediocre tea doesn't excite me.
I just opened my last bag of 2010 shincha, Kiwami is in my cup.
