Hello everyone!
My name is Daniel, I am 33 and have only recently discovered green tea. Or better described, I've gone completely nuts about japanese green tea, tea ware and have even started learning more about Japan.
I have been browsing this community in read-only mode for a week, and I must say I'm realy impressed by so many respectful and decent conversations/discussions.
My hidden agenda here is to get in on the HAGI (S)SO's as I too have been bitten by that bug. If only a year ago you'd tell me I'd be into pottery and bonsai, man would I have laughed at that...

Welcome Daniel, we can certainly accommodate you in all the aspects of tea that you mentioned! Glad you joined us, and we can surely help you to spend you $$$$ on tea and teawares.lekke wrote: My hidden agenda here is to get in on the HAGI (S)SO's as I too have been bitten by that bug. +1 on the Hagi SOs, another one is on the horizon, so be sure to stay tuned.
Which Japanese green teas do you seem to prefer? Shincha is coming up, Yippee!

Eyes wide open! Thanks!Mrs. Chip wrote:+1 on the Hagi SOs, another one is on the horizon, so be sure to stay tuned.
My first purchase was Uji Tsuen sencha "Aoi". I have my eyes on Yutaka Midori shincha and I'd also like to try some proper gyokuro. Still learning!Mrs. Chip wrote:Which Japanese green teas do you seem to prefer? Shincha is coming up, Yippee!

Seems someone with insider info is spilling the beans.
Welcome Lekke to TeaChat. Hope to see you around the forum ... and involved in a Hagi SO very soon!
Aoi is really good! But YM reigns supreme generally in my book. They also have a really great selection of gyokuro!
