Coming soon!
Greetings HagiFriends. We present to you a creation dedicated to all the victims of the tragic earthquake and resulting devastating tsunami on March 9th 2011.
Further ... approximately $20 from the sale of each piece will go towards relief efforts (hopefully more, still negotiating with Mago and Seigan).

Re: Hagi SO 15 Sendai
More ...
As with all the Hagi SO's, this piece is very limited, perhaps even more so this time for reasons discussed below. This piece might never be recreated, as it was an accident of an accident. The prototype was an accident (which we have been trying unsuccessfully to duplicate ever since), and this was an accident in trying to recreate the accident. BUT WOW, WHAT AN ACCIDENT! There are a few metaphors in here somewhere I think.
Although beautiful, this piece, glaze is also very turbulent. When I first saw the sample, I was immediately awestruck and inspired to use this piece to raise funds for the relief effort. I seriously felt the earthquake and then the tsunami in this piece.
Thus I asked for this piece to be called "Sendai."
I know each time I see or use a "Sendai," I will think of not only the tragic events, but also our small hand in helping. I have a feeling you will too!

Re: Hagi SO 15 Sendai
The goal is to raise 500 USD, but my hope is for us together to raise 750-1000 for the relief effort!
So, please stay tuned, pictures to come! Along with of course all the information you will need to be a part of this "event."
This Hagi SO will only be available to members of TeaChat, through the TeaChat Hagi SO program.

BTW, the glaze is completely NEW, never before seen nor even created! The shape is really different, nice, and perfect for the warmer weather that will be here soon.
And yes, this is SO 15, even though the ROCK was SSO 16.

I only have a price guestimate, and would not want to post that quite yet. Hopefully I will have a price shortly.
Photos, yeah, hang tight!

I picture tells a thousand words ... in this case, many more than that. I am very excited about this piece and the opportunity that so naturally came together.Nenugal wrote:Enthusiastically looking forward to more details and pictures! I just found another metaphor while studying the piece. I will have much to say soon.
