Hello,
I'm very glad to have come across TeaChat. In a week or so of lurking (with a little bit of posting), I've learned quite a lot. The community here seems to be helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

I've been drinking black tea, mainly Assam and Ceylon from Tea Source, for a few years now. But I recently saw the documentary "All in this Tea" and realized that there was so much I've been missing in the world of tea. I decided to branch out and order the black tea and puerh samplers from Silk Road. Since then, I've also begun to try different types of oolong teas. I'm really enjoying the experience of trying everything from types of tea new to me to different ways of brewing.

I'm really interested in learning about non-black teas, particularly oolong and puerh. I've realized that my earlier negative reactions were probably based on my brewing these types incorrectly. I very much look forward to learning more about tea from the people on TeaChat.
