Welcome TeaDrinkers! It's a new day, a day to enjoy Tea and the company of TeaChatter friends.
The last 2 days we discussed what teas you seem to drink on a regular basis. You can still vote and discuss this topic.
So, today it is Sunday, a day off of work for most of us. I would like to believe that lots of teadrinking will be happening today. Please share with us 'What type of tea did you start your day with today?"
As always, I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Be sure to stop by often to let us know what teas you are enjoying.
Bottoms up!

Re: TeaDay 5/22/2001 Raptured or Still here drinking Tea?
I appear to still be here drinking tea... and I decided to see if I could squeeze one more steep out of an oolong that I started yesterday (which goes back to the tea topic a couple of days ago) -- and indeed, I did.
I'm also glad I took a break. Many teas tend to build-up a 'presence' (tingling, numbing) in my mouth. In later steeps, it becomes hard to know whether I am tasting the tea, or tasting the built-up aftertaste.
In any case, I'll be heading to church in about an hour to see if anybody there got raptured. Though, given that it looks like an extremely gorgeous day outside, I don't think the apocalypse has started yet...
Have a great teaday everybody!

I was very satisfied with my rapture experience and I hope all future raptures go as well as this one did. I'm still here, but that was the outcome I secretly wanted. I can think of a few people I hope the good lord has harvested, but somehow, I'm not that hopeful.
Starting the day with Aoi shincha.

Still here, trying to decide whether I need another steep of the Den's Shin-ryoku sencha or whether I'm ready for toast and hot chocolate yet. There will definitely be more steeps of the sencha later, particularly because I packed the pot with the end of a sample from my last order.

I started my day with matcha! Now I'm giving a pu'er bamboo tong another go. It's still not doing much except making my headache worse. I really hate pu.

There is still TeaChat on the other side, post rapture!
Began the TD with the Mrs. with an old yet new yet to be replaced old standby, Yutaka Midori LE from the O-C. It is not the "classic," and the LE will be fading to memory after this bag as it is being replaced by yet another selection of YM.
Hope everyone will be having a great TD!

Still unraptured, but my teaday started late since I was traveling in the weekend. Now I'm drinking some nice handpicked green tea that was a gift from a very kind Chinese friend.

Church was a bit lightly attended this morning, but I chalked it up to summer vacations, as opposed to people being raptured. I guess I'll find out next Sunday....
I shifted over to a 2011 Wu Ling oolong this afternoon. If I drink enough, I may even move on to yet another oolong. I will be taking these oolongs into work to enjoy them in the mornings, and shift to dedicating afternoon work days to Japanese greens.
Such are the trials and tribulations of those who are left behind.... planning weekly tea consumption...

Still here, as expected ....
But I was in raptures after steeping some 2011 Tai Ping Hou Kui from Jing. Just the aroma of the dry tea is worth the price! It benefits from different brewing parameters compared to last year's TPHK - lower temperature AND shorter time.
I ended my tea day at the other end of the spectrum with some raw/cooked 1980's Puerh Menghai Green Brick from The Mandarin's Tea Room. I was at my liquid limit before the tea peaked - after about 10 steeps - so I'm looking forward to more of it tomorrow.

If I have headache, I will not tea. I think any tea will make my headache worse and worse~jaderabbit wrote:I started my day with matcha! Now I'm giving a pu'er bamboo tong another go. It's still not doing much except making my headache worse. I really hate pu.

I'm still here...barely. I've been pretty busy lately. Anyway, I started the TeaDay with Tenkei Tori matcha. Delicious.

Tea usualy helps my headaches. At least usually does not make it worse. I guess it depends on the type of headache and the type of tea.ter wrote:If I have headache, I will not tea.
