Blooming Tea
I just purchased Red Blooms tea. How do you get the bloom to stay in bottom of teapot? Mine floats all overthe pot.

Re: Blooming Tea
It probably depends on the size and weight of the blooming tea itself. Is it very big?
Re: Blooming Tea
Kinda odd that its just floating at the top I'm fairly new to blooming tea, all I do is add about 11 OZ. of hot water (190-boil) and let it sit till the flower has fully bloomed which is usually around 5 to 6 minutes. At first the blooming tea was floating around for about 1 min then sank to the bottom once it was full of water. If your blooming tea is real big then I'm assuming that it is going to take longer to absorb water and sink.
Re: Blooming Tea
As the tea sat,the bloom never sank,I assume it never absorbed enough water to weight it down.
Re: Blooming Tea
There might be some air bubbles still stuck inside the tea bloom, try moving it around gently with a spoon, to see if it gets rid of the air bubbles. I've had a bloom float around for longer than usual, as soon as I moved it around I could see small bubbles come out, then it sank.
