Prelim topic. TA SO Petr Novák
Official notice! The Petr Novák TA SO will go live for ordering on Thursday, June 2nd at 6 pm Eastern USA time.
The topic will be posted at least 3 hours in advance and along with access to all the photos! Til then, we can discuss this upcoming TA SO and you may catch some sneak peeks along the way!
Many of us have already admired and/or even aquired the work of our TeawareArtisan Petr Novák.
His works have a natural look, appeal to them, a result at least in part to the wood firing. They often feature a "yohen" look, changed by the fire. However if you have held, used one of his works, you would also say he understands feel and function quite well!!!
This TeawareArtisan SO is going to be a lot of fun! Lots of pieces will be available in lots of different teaware types/styles in multiple finishes/glazes.
Petr has worked long and hard, not to mention endured lots and lots of communications from me. In the end, I simply told him to let his creativity have fun with this TA SO. And it looks like he has had a lot of fun.
Please feel free to post here, get excited, ask questions (though for some answers you will have to wait).
And do not even think about asking Petr anything about this TA SO, he is sworn to secrecy!!!

Hmm, interesting... Just to check if I understand things correctly: so the artist himself does the shipping of the items? So in Petr's case it would be shipped from Europe?
I might be really tempted if there will be any matcha bowls available. I'm in the middle of searching for my first matcha utensils...

Yes, Petr will ship direct from the Czech Republic. There are 3 flat rate shipping options available, depending on our level of patience ... or impatience.

I will post a topic in this forum of TeaChat no later than 3 pm on Thursday Eastern USA time. In this topic, access to all the photos, prices, ordering and shipping info will be provided.
Prices will be set prices for items.
You pick what you like and PM your list to me asap starting at 6 pm on Thursday, Eastern USA time.
This is normally done on a straight first come, first served basis, but might modify this slightly. As always, pick more than one selection/preference!!!
There are multiples of each type of teaware presented!

Uh oh, this is going to be so tempting... and no import tax...
Yes, they are both brewing vessels. Simply put: They are tea pots.
A kyusu has a handle, a shiboridashi is essentially just a bowl with a lid.
