Yeah, fo sho!

I was looking at this with a 2X or so magnifyer/spot light. There is a LOT going on with this glaze. Check it out. Very cool. I won't say much more yet, but there is more than meets the camera's eye.

This is one of the standard footed pieces, oh, and the feel of the cup, such a great Summer/warm weather cup. There is a surprising lightness as at first glance it says, "heavy." The shape resembles Tempest, til it approaches the flare at the top. The flare is well done, feels quite right. Any other similarity to Tempest is likely non existent.

I am guessing this is quite a different feeling cup than the more limited notched foot.

Using this today, it holds 6 ounces if you want it to, but it felt quite right with 3, 4, or 5 ounces.

OK, I said more than I wanted to, I don't want to spoil everyone's fun!

You are so right! I used a jeweler's loupe on it last night and the glaze has a lot more too it than you can really see with the naked eye. Really fun stuff!

Send it to me for a little while, and I'd be happy to try to unlock some of its secrets for you...

 well Chip apparently has an excuse... something about a virus. The rest of you, though.... :?:

I had mine sent SAL because the Post Office will usually leave it at my doorstep. Otherwise I've got to go to the Post Office in person, and that can take awhile given work schedules...

So it ends up being slow either way...

*twiddle thumbs*

Mine came too.
But does posting an explicit picture of it risk my seat in Congress?

I would vote for your reelection under the Hagi Party, though not the TeaParty ...

My Sendai has just arrived at the post office, so it seems I will need to take a walk in the lunch break today
