Here's today's Black Tenmoku and Nuka Glazed Small Matcha Chawan from Sunday's firing. It measures 3" h. x 5" dia. I've never tried this glaze combination before, I was anticipating something quite different. The Blue was a complete surprise...! More of these to come, I think.
Thanks for looking.

Here's today's Twice Fired Matcha Chawan with Alberta and Iron Slip fired to ∆10 in reduction. It measures 3-1/4" h. x 5-1/8" dia. Many thanks for your supportive comments, they are much appreciated.

Wow--that is an utterly gorgeous piece! I can imagine how vivid and beautiful the matcha must look in it ....

I do hope we see more of this glaze--perhaps on some yunomi/guinomi pieces as well? *hinthint* :D

Here's today's "Most Unexpected" Ash Tenmoku and Shino Glazed Matcha Chawan fired to ∆10 in yesterday's firing. It measures 3-3/8" h. x 4-7/8" dia. I've used this glaze combination hundreds of times and it's never given this result...? Thousands of minute eddies and rivulets.

Also, Thanks Chip and lkj23 for your kind words regarding the Black and Blue Chawan above, I appreciate it. And, hopeofdawn, I will be glazing some Yunomi tomorrow with the black and Blue combination, I took your suggestion/hint, hope they turn out. :?:

Thanks for looking.

Things like this are why I keep trying like matcha. I've gotten to not disliking, but not yet enough liking to justify keeping something this beautiful out of the hands of a matchaholic.
