Postby Chip » Jun 23rd, '11, 01:56

Greetings TeaPeeps! Welcome to a new and hopefully exciting TeaDay. Please drop in and share it with us, share what is in your cups, and discuss the day's topic.

Yesterday we discussed whether you were TeaRoom Dreaming. Please continue to discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaRoom topic. This is a promo for an incredibly exciting event to begin Friday right here that will rock your TeaWorld! You won't want to miss this! Is there a member's teaware item posted on TeaChat that has rocked your world? Please share. Share a link or post the photo.

We are looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Umm ... looks like there may be too many treasures out there for us to make up our minds. :!:

Perhaps you could share with us some 'treasure' you are pining for and would like to one day own.

Personally, there are many pieces posted by members that have really made me jealous. As I recall some, I will likely post more. Yesterday I was reminded of this Seigan blue porcelain chawan by Stentor ...

Our TeaDay started with a lovely brewing of Aoi from the O-C. It brewed up nicely in a Petr snakeskin kyusu and cup set. Teakitties visited the TeaTable this morning creating some "kaos."

Hm, there are so many, among other I'm thinking about Petr shiboridashi, Eichii Rock yunomi and a Nakao Galaxy glaze chawan...

My preciousssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

There are many pieces posted by members that I have liked very much. Most recently and most notably must have been this cup and saucer set by Hokujo, as posted by JeiKun4114 and Ambrose.
I love this so much that I am having two of them made for me. It is in the same style as a Hokujo shiboridashi I own, so these pieces would make a really nice set. I also love this type of bowl shape with a flared lip.

Honorable mention goes to David R.'s beautiful Japanese ceramic plates and bowls. They really add atmosphere to the tea setting, not to mention they serve an obvious practical purpose.

There are many more...

There are so many lovely things here, from the highly polished to the subtly matte, sleek curvaceous to humbly lumpy, and I won't bore you with the 20 photo version of this reply....

One that I wanted to post didn't quote properly because the image was an attachment, but these work nicely as well

Now enjoying some 2010 Spring Wu Liang Mtn - Xue Dian Mei Lan - Yunnan 'green' tea from Norbu, brewed in a little tokoname teapot that exercises like this one may soon send to TeaSwap, and drunk from my new Seigan blue hagi cup.

And....Happy-Birthday-and-when-can-I-have-one-of-these
