This particular TPHK seemed pretty temperamental... I had taken it to work but never got a good brew out of it there (but was guessing with amounts) -- brewed in both a kyuusu and a gaiwan (got slightly better results out of the gaiwan).

I brought it home and got great results from a gaiwan.

But... now that I think about it, I used up the last of my TPHK on the shibo try, and there was a lot of broken leaf in there that I did not clean out... so it may have been that. And unfortunately... that also means I can't try again! :(

Although, as I said, this TPHK was a really tough customer for some reason. I don't think I've any other tea that I bombed out that much on...

Hrm, well I tried the gyokuro again in the shibo and it was just frickin' amazing, so I am currently chalking it up to the tea and not the tea vessel (as always, the tea drinker is blameless :D ).

I'm currently drinking some Chinese greens, but they are ones that I had small samples of, so I don't want to 'risk' a shibo brew at the moment... :D

Never got the tracking number, no woe as I wouldn't have checked it any how(least it seemed late), so I was completely shocked when I went downstairs a moment ago and found the package sitting on my kitchen table(good thing someone else was downstairs to sign, never even heard the mail carrier).

They're all so gorgeous and feel great to hold! Can't wait to put them to use.

Definitely happy with all of them. Had a session with some gyokuro in the shibo and cup.

Delicious.

And, later, some asa for the solo cup/saucer.

Just checking in to report that my kyusu did a lovely job with some TPHK this morning.

And what a lovely set Gargoyle has. That yuzamushi is just fantastic. Good thing I was using mine this morning or I'd be so envious it would not be nice.

No crackles really visible yet on my cup: I can see them if I hold it in the light just so, but otherwise, they're invisible. Have to work on that.

Those are just lovely.

I had the pleasure yesterday of watching my tea-pal open her gift of a matched set of cups & saucers from this SO. She was delighted, and they will have a good home.

My kyusu is working this morning, prepping the sencha. It does add happiness to the session with every glance, touch, and sip.
