viewing very nice work from everyone here on the Tea artisan threads !

just out of the reduction kiln. a celadon guinomi, doublewalled thrown as one piece then handcarved using a very sharp knife with a magnifying glass. (JOKE)

new celadon yunomi

double walled tea cup, 7.50 cm high

hand brushed shirogeshou, white slip, celadon, reduction cone 10 fired.

enclosed is a photo of a side view yunomi. double walled.

also currently working on a series of chabana/hanaire , double walled vases. fun ! the black clay like porcelain is a joy to carve !

A friend just found a pretty little celadon teacup at a thrift shop with a white splash in the base of the cup--she wasn't sure if I would see it through the Da Hong Pao I'd just shared with her, but I noticed immediately and it reminded me of some of Cory's recent posts featuring 'shiro geshou' (did I spell that right?).

Googling 'shiro geshou' mostly brings up some of Cory's posts here, and endless manga-related links.

Cory, can you tell us a little about the use of shiro geshou in your teaware?
