Wow Bill,
Very nice all of it.
The Mrs. has only had one piece crystallize.
It was vase, oribe over nuka.

Hey Mr. Woozl,
Thanks and the crystals are usually from slow cooling, either controlled descent/and or with hold, of temperature by fuel (such as with gas) or, as in my case a hardbrick (superduty) kiln will cool slowly, takes longer to heat up too!! Each load gets better and better! ...keeps me going

Some of Bill's pieces arrived today.

Low wide cups and higher taper cups and "matching kyusu." I can honestly say that the pieces are much nicer than the photos! Heh, the kyusu is a little turquiose "porker." :mrgreen:

Thank you Victoria! I love the pictures you took! I really need to get a new camera. I get decent pictures if the pottery is in the direct sun, but your pics are great and taken indoors!

We just got back from a little vacation on the coast, it was sooo relaxing, we really needed it. A little side note, I painted for the first time since 2003. Here's a little plein air (on location) oil I did while there. I did 4 total, the first one a bomb, the second needs a seagull or two in it, the third is nice but just blocked in and this one I did the last full day there. Nice little hike in.

I will be finishing up the little bit of glazing I have left, then wadding and loading and firing by the end of the week. I will post pics as I'm loading and firing.

I am all set to fire Monday the 25th. I have everything loaded and the bricket in (door) so I will wake up early and finish late. Praying for the kiln gods to be kind.

And some teapots that are in there too.

I'll take pics of the firing and share.

I unloaded the kiln today. I have some really good ones and some "okay" ones. Fortunately the good ones outweigh the so-so ones by far. I will finish grinding the wads off and cleaning them up tomorrow. I will post some pictures later tomorrow. I tried 4 new shinos in this load and I think I found what I am going to use for my TC TA SO later in October!!!
