That new matcha is the Yame Matcha Seiho you list on your site, right?

I
Yes it is, it's also my first try at higher grade matcha :) Now i'm drinking at least one bowl of matcha per day, really nice in the morning. Though Seiho will be for special occasions, too costly to drink it everyday.

Iced mugicha in my cup, probably biggest advantage of mugicha is how simple to prepare big amount at once.

p.s.
Cicadas started to appear, together with frogs they are sooooo noisy

Today was a great tea day for me!

I received my packet from O-Cha and I prepared my first matcha (Kiri-No-Mori). I used 2 chashaku of matcha and approx. 80 - 90 mL of 80°C water. Wow, what an intense experience! This thing is so amazingly GREEN! The taste was complex and smooth, I didn't find it bitter. It reminded me of color green and of some vegetable... Very pleasant and a little mysterious...

And since there are several Japanese greens on their way to me, I predict the second half of the year to be great!

I have been eyeing this matcha, with more than passing interest I might add. It is on my wishlist for my next O-Cha order.

Thanks for your comments -- very helpful. :)

I'm very happy I could help!

I also agonized for weeks over which matcha to buy. I didn't want to spoil my first encounter with a new tea by using some sub-par matcha...

And I guess the Organic Matcha Kaoru sitting in my fridge will be even better. Hmmm, this will really be a great second half of the year!

I predict a great tea year! Currently I'm exploring Japanese teas, but before I know it fall will be here, and I'll slowly start transitioning into oolongs and puerhs.

Started the day with a bowl of matcha, then warashina supreme 2010 vintage after lunch. Iced houjicha after fishing tonight and I'm thinking I might get into some genmaicha to top off my late night pizza dinner  .

After tasting it I realized that I actually opened the Miyabi....was way too light and crisp to be Chrian Yutaka Midori!

I have been getting some really good teas lately. If this keeps up, I think I will have a great 2nd half.
