I got it now. I think. It took some tinkering with graphic converter (mac software that I already have) but finally worked it out. There are so many ways to crop, squish, and resize photos. I knew one of them would work eventually.

I'm having the worst time trying to replace my avatar. The following message keeps coming up:

Temporary folder could not be found. Please check your PHP installation.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Same problem as attachments which is briefly discussed here:

See if you can do avatars now. Members could post attachments today, and avatars mostly use attachments.

Please give it a go ... and let me know.
