Went to expo. The organizer did a custom teapot. 3 legged shui ping.

Normal = 30 units
Polish (with gold thingi) = 9 units
Polish (with silver thingi) = 9 units.

Quite nice. I didn't buy this cause recently bought 3 teapots already.

In this expo, they are promoting a lot on the 1st Malaysia Dayi Pu Raw y2011. They are going to officially launch it this Sun.

A few teashops here get together and went to Dayi to order this custom pu. 200 cartons. Each carton 6 toongs.

1 piece loose price = MYR 200 (USD 69) - list price before some disc
1 piece price (but buy in carton) = MYR 120 (USD 42)

This is extremely expensive. Even this year Gold dayi, Xinhai 357g is cheaper than this. Why is it so expensive? Reason, the shop gang up and controlled the price. This is 1st Malaysia Dayi, so memorable / collectable.

Taste wise? Like every other new dayi tea that should be priced at MYR 40 (USD 14) to MYR 60 (USD 21). Put aside the price factor, this tea is actually quite nice to drink / keep. Unfortunately price is way too much.

I am so tempted to buy this cause it is 1st Dayi Malaysia, but the price is really too much to accept / turn off. Temporary KIV it. If I were to buy, maybe 2 pieces max. Hope the price will go down.

Another interesting thing... Dayi official Zisha Teapots. 2 designs. 20 units each. The first Dayi teapot to arrive into malaysia.

One side it has the Dayi logo, the other side has the Dayi slogan 'Good tea only by Dayi'. It comes with nice box and bag. They said it is roughly 2 years old.

We all got tempted by this and each bought 1. Today is the first day and that shop sold quite a lot of it already. I think by tomorrow it will be sold out. A nice collectable item for Dayi collectors :)

Edit: The first dayi teapot photo above is sold out first day evening. My friend went there and none left. The second dayi teapot has some left. I think by tomorrow all will be sold out.

Chua,
I am happy with the Dayi tea pot and the 3 legged purchase. As I told you if wait than there will be no more.I have learned this from past experience.

The Malaysia Dayi tea is a real rip off.Tea should be drank/bought and not speculated. Hope they will learn this in the future. Better wait for the Dayi phoenix and 92 Fangcha.

Some 30+ year old tea cakes listed at a high Rgt1800+ price range offered at at Rgt130! Tells me the tea is not old and the price is grossly inflated.
No, I was not at the Expo, here in Singapore , the psi is now 400. Time for a good brew for yun hao.
