Certain Korean Greens are always prime to bring a smile to my face! But honestly most teas bring a smile to my face.

I have to say that there are lots of teas that will bring a smile to my face, but for a near-religious experience, a good Taiwanese Alisan or Lishan oolong will do it every time ...

Second the vote for Lishan. Gyokuro is a consistent mood brightener/face lightener as well.

There are teas that make you happy because you like some aspect about them, and then there are some that just seem to have happy Qi. :D

I'm working my way through a hearty farmer's choice BZ from FLT. Still pretty big body after about 6 or 7 steeps. BZ is slowly falling off my radar though. Even the good ones just don't grab me like they used ta do.

Few teas give me the immediate happy face like a Japanese green. Topping the list by type, sencha and then gyokuro. And specifically, Yutaka Midori sencha.

There are other teas that will including Chinese greens, good Taiwanese oolong, TKY to name a few.

Began the TD with Miyabi shincha from the O-C with the Mrs. There were happy faces.

Oolongs never fail to make me feel better, at least in part because I can just wait for my ringing kettle to make noise. If I'm not feeling very good (and therefore don't want to muss about with water temps) I can wait for a boil and be done with it. :D

I'm not afraid to admit that I can't go a day without having a cup (A.K.A. pots) of some sort of Japanese tea. (A.K.A. pots). My smiles would be limited without it. I must say that my second favorite type of tea would have to be Taiwanese oolongs. They, of course, brought me into this fabulous world of tea.

A session with a nice, aged pu'erh tea can always bring a smile to my face. Of course, many other teas do the same, as I'm usually enjoying the cup as a part of relaxation, which is always a welcomed event!

Does anyone notice a change on TeaChat? It should bring a happy face anyone with more than 8 letters to their user name. :D

Great TeaDay with Hana No Kaori shincha and finally Uji Organic matcha.

The most reliable "smile" tea for me is Tie Guan Yin, new green, traditional roasted, Ti Kuan Yin or Tie Guan Yin.

Today, Zhejiang green tea from Norbu, Mao Xie oolong from Jing Tea Shop, and now some Yunnan Mao Feng green tea from Norbu. A sweet green day.

There are so many teas that fit that description! Most any pu-erh or Yunnan black tea will. As for green teas: gyokuro, hojicha, genmaicha, matcha, and sencha with rose or lavender petals added. Also, I enjoy ginger, rosemary, pau d'arco, chrysanthemum, and hibiscus tisanes. Not all together, though.

Black Dragon Pearls this morning (first time trying those, and YUM!!!); a lot of iced green tea because it's getting hot here again; currently sipping a chrysanthemum tisane.

Lots of iced hot brewed SLT sencha with a touch of honey to finish off the TD.

Hey, what do you say,
we continue this happy topic another day?

Sounds like a good idea to me. So, please stop in throughout the day and share what is in your cup with us.

Also please continue to discuss yesterday's topic, or discuss whatever is on your mind, this is our TeaRoom!

We are looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with ... everyone. Bottoms up.

Hooray!! Thank you to the TeaCoders or TeaWhoevers for this gift, it certainly brings a smile to my face, even though I was already 'safe' with a 4-character name...! :D

Taiwanese high mountain oolongs always make me smile, especially the Li Shan oolongs. But today, the Yutaka Midori Kagoshima sencha from OTTI 10 is making me smile. Such a smooooth sencha!
