Hello to everyone.

by In search of truth » Aug 6th, '11, 06:31

Hi,
my name is Victor Judge and I collect Pottery and porcelain, but I prefer Pottery most of all.

I live in Kent in England and am pleased to have found this site.

I have a Yixing Teapot which feels wonderful in the hand and is beautifully made.
The seal is of Jiang Rong and I am scared that it is genuine.

Once I have worked my way around the website I will attempt to upload images for your evaluation.

I am happy to accept criticism in the spirit that it is intended as I am here to learn about Yixing in particular.

Welcome.

I like your user name. I used to live in Kent (Sandwich & Thanet) myself for several years but moved to China a while back. I now live in Yixing and occasionally spend some time searching for truth too.

I am looking forward to read your posts.

cheers
Nico

Welcome Victor to the best tea forum. Jiang Rong's pot inspired me to be a yixing lover. Can't wait to see your piece! Cheers ~ T

Thank you both.

China,I sometimes go to Sandwich on a Sunday to walk around and then have a Pub lunch;it is a very pleasant place.

I have been researching my teapot and I believe that it is called a Melon Teapot,Green and black burnished look and a vine linking to the handle.

It is the first piece that I have owned of Yixing and I hope is genuine.

I will start a new thread tonight and hopefully people can comment on it.

Are pictures easy to upload on the site ?

Welcome to TeaChat, hope to see you around the forum.

Photos are easy to post, you can do them as attachments or through a photohoster like photobucket, flickr, etc.

The biggest restriction is size. The forum will not allow oversized photos, they will not post. Try around 500 pixels wide.

If you have problems, just ask ...

We will look for your photos under Teaware and Accessories.

Since you are using photobucket, it is helpful to you and the forum to create a seperate album for photos you post on the forum. Otherwise the photos will sooner or later expire for one reason or another. Where as if you just leave them in a seperate album, the photos should continue to post til long after we leave the planet.

I have an album that I simply titled TC.
