1980s Di Cao Qing From the same collector who sold the KLP3 teapots. I wonder how many more he is hiding... anyway, here is one small sized version. 80ml. Single hole. I decided to take since no one grab it
Passed all 3:-
-Shoots water. Emptied less than 10 sec. No leaking while pouring.
-Water stops instantly when lid hole is covered.
-Fill with water. Cover the spout hole, turn the pot upside down. Lid didn't fall.

Welcome Dingshu. Interesting pieces indeed. TokiDingshu wrote:Anything I liked, at least half the shops seemed to claim it was 老泥 laoni, and that's probably what I was told about this, though I don't recall for certain.
I believe 老泥 laoni "old clay" can refer to either genuinely old clay -- very rare -- or modern clay that imitates the look of old clay, and this would be the latter.

Whoa.
How big is that one? Just trying to get a sense of scale for the incredible details of the bark and needles.

Wow. I had the impression it was at least twice that size, given the details.auhckw wrote:120ml (guestimate).debunix wrote:Whoa.

Wow, yeah! Great detail on the bark qualities of the spout, lid, and handle...!
Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
Indeed a beauty. The maker did make a bigger version 3x the size of the pot above but the price is 1/2 of the smaller version. The smaller it is, the harder it gets (I guess).Drax wrote:Wow, yeah! Great detail on the bark qualities of the spout, lid, and handle...!
Anyway, I will try to showcase more of such artist teapots for fun and will post up any for sale.
From the same teashop that sold the teapot above... here is a different artist teapot posted in KLP4

Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
Hello everyone... I've been reading the forum for a while and just bought a yixing teapot from a tea shop in DC... that I wanted to show off. I'm trying to pair it with a tea right now.
I tried it with some Dan Cong, but I don't think it worked out too well. I'm trying it with some Gao Shan, and it seems to be working well. But I was wondering if anyone (maybe by looking at the pictures) could recommend a particular tea to test it out with.
It holds 150ml water. Empties in ~5.5 seconds. And passes the tests that auhckw described: (shoots water, stops when lid hole is covered, and when flipping upside down while covering the spout the lid stays attached)

I forgot I had these. This is a zisha cup with a white glaze. It is from the 1980's and was intended as an export to Russia. It has the original box with it. Of all the 1980's zisha cups I have, this is one of my favorites due to its quality and great shape.

Since this is explicitly a Yixing show off topic...
