We are really lucky to have such a generous and nice group of artisans (and vendors!) pottering about here at TeaChat. Thanks to all and to Chip for arranging this!Chip wrote:OK, one last clue, likely stating the obvious.
Treasures 1-7 were made and donated by our TeawareArtisans for this TreasureHunt!
Treasure 8 was donated by an eager vendor.
Many thanks to all 8 contributors!

Considering I have not even gotten all the guess PMs open yet (and there were a LOT today), obviously the 8 lucky winners have not yet been determined.

Heh, I thought "Hot Legs" was a reference to that picture he posted of the super-melty pots or jars where that beautiful turquoise glaze flowed right down the 'legs'Chip wrote:1 Bill of SplitFirePottery. Hot Legs is a reference to his avatar.
In any case, I was pleasantly surprised at how many I knew without having to do any research! That was a lot of fun to discover, and, in some cases, frightening, as I had to wonder, "How do I know this...??"

Google hot legs with url TeaChat in advanced search, there is the number one hit. Or was, now there are likely a few more since TreasureHunt began.Drax wrote:Heh, I thought "Hot Legs" was a reference to that picture he posted of the super-melty pots or jars where that beautiful turquoise glaze flowed right down the 'legs'Chip wrote:1 Bill of SplitFirePottery. This is good to know. It shows we are connecting on different levels with the TeawareArtisans, which was the goal of TA forum in the first place."How do I know this...??"

Re: TC TreasureHunt! DO NOT MISS THIS!!!
Treasure 2 by Shawn of GreenwoodStudio. A beautiful wood fired shino teacup/wan to a lucky TreasureHunter!
Winner TBD and announced later!!!Teacup, wood-fired iron rich stoneware w/ shino and iron brushwork
This one has been glazed with a nice smooth shino glaze that takes on golden hues. It has some very minimal iron brushwork decoration. It measures 3-3.5"w (because of its asymmetry) x 2"t and holds approx. 7 oz at full capacity (to the rim)
