Winner TBD and announced later!!!It is thrown, and wood fired. Smooth white stoneware body. 8.5 cm dia and 7 cm h. Weight 160 grams. This piece I do not have the kiln firing record for, but I think it was the summer 2010 firing. Glaze both interior and out is American Shino but it is fired mainly in oxidation, so I am thinking from chamber 4 which is where I do that mostly (for oribe glazes mainly). It has substantial flyash over the shino glaze and some nice flashing on the exposed clay foot.

Wow, those are beautiful pieces! It was almost too much to view them for the first time all at once. Fortunately I was sitting down.
I think Chip has a well-crafted roll-out plan here for maximum tension...

Wow, very very nice treasures!
And the hunt was interesting too, especially at the very end. I got an unexpected visit and I barely managed to send the final answers in time!
Unfortunately, I had no idea about the treasure #1. Now I see the "hot legs" in Bill's avatar and the location is Homer, but what about Turquoise?
EDIT: Ah, I got it finally, the lovely turquoise cup from his thread?

... and last but not least, an eager vendor who wanted to join in the fun of a TreasureHunt. Treasure 8 from IPT of Chinese-Tea-Culture. This little treasure Celadon Guinomi or GongFu cup "was made by Wu Yuanzhong and holds 30cc" and has oodles of charm and character.

Here is a link to another photo (to be fair I am only posting one photo per treasure in this topic). Had Mr. IPT created his TeaMerchandiser topic as he said he would, I would post them there. hint hint ... and I will once he does create this topic.
