Can you send me a link?
If I cannot get it to work, I will just delete the topic.

Re: Interesting radiation distribution map
Could you post a URL? I'd be interested in seeing a graphical representation of the fallout.

Re: Interesting radiation distribution map
I don't know which maps the original poster was referring to, but a highly interesting project is safecast, formerly RDTN.org
have a look here: http://blog.safecast.org/
and here: http://maps.safecast.org/
The maps are based on crowd sourced radiation measurements taken from over 500000 measurement points. The project is not under government control and just the number of individual readings making up the data for the map is a fairly robust protection against errors and manipulation.

Re: Interesting radiation distribution map
Safecast is interesting, been following it for a while since I am taking a group of college students to Japan shortly.
But do spend some time researching what mainstream scientists have to say about the accuracy of the readings that "lay people" come up with using less than laboratry grade instruments and mostly having a lack of technical schooling in how to actually use the stuff they do have.
So it is just one more source of potential information to add to all the stuff out there.
I was the original poster. Unfortunately after trying to post the picture, I lost the address of the original data I found from a scientist in Japan. I am still trying to find it again. If I do... I will post it. It was good some information.
