Brewing by weight vs volume

by mrln3talsn » Aug 28th, '11, 12:55

The old standard of using a teaspoon of tea per cup tea hasn't always worked for me because of the difficulty of measuring large leaf teas. I have found that a standard tea bag contains about 1.5 grams of tea. I found a small digital scale and simply weigh out the amount needed. This is simpler that using a scoop to measure and more accurate.
