OTTI Round Schedules

Please don't forget to update the "OTTI 'for Dummies' FAQs" thread before you post the details. I am looking forward to this (as others may be as well) to allow me to get a handle on what this OTTI business is all about. :mrgreen:

Absolutely, I did not forget. We had a flood here, pretty messy business. Then I received a last minute urgent request to help our host out at the World Tea Expo East.

I will get to this in the next day or two, please keep an eye open. :mrgreen:

OK, 4 new and seperate OTTI rounds are now pretty set. And a 5th is in the works. :mrgreen:

They will be released successively, more or less versus concurrently. But there will be overlap.

OTTI 11 will be Sencha. I just posted a 3 day notification in the new notification topic.

There will be a WUYI round, a special commemorative round, and then a TBA round ... the actual order TBD.

Just a reminder, OTTI 11 topic will be posted Wednesday (tomorrow) by 3 pm Eastern USA time. Then OTTI 11 will go live exactly at 6 pm.

A change in the process, instead of PMing your request to participate, I am switching over to emails. The email is teachatmoderator@yahoo.com and I will include this in the new topic as well.

OTTI 12 and 13 hit speed bumps that were unavoidable. I hope to revisit these two OTTI fairly soon ... One was a Wuyi OTTI and the other ... well you will just have to wait and see. :twisted:

HOWEVER ... a new OTTI sprung up in warp speed! Since the other two OTTI are delayed, this one will be designated OTTI 12.

Zencha.net finally began offering their much anticipated Kagoshima line-up and I was standing in line ...

This OTTI 12 Zencha Kagoshima Debut will feature all 6 of their new Kagoshima leaf sencha!

I am moving very fast on this for a few reasons. One, this is an exciting opp to sample a bunch of brand new offerings of Kagoshima sencha in a single tasting. And two, Shincha is only around 2 months away. And three ... I need NEW tea, how about you?! :idea:

Please keep an eye open for the 3 day notice in the OTTI 3 day notice topic. This could be any day now as the teas are being shipped by Zencha immediately.

Sounds exciting, I had a lot of fun with the previous sencha offering, but couldn't comment on it due to a sudden cross-country move that I had to make in November... Still have my tasting notes somewhere though! Maybe I'll post them when I find em, whenever that may be :lol:

Super psyched for a Wuyi head-to-head, too! :mrgreen:
