World Tea Expo hits Philly

The FIRST World Tea Expo EAST was this past Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia. It was good to see a number of TCers in attendance ... and as it turned out quite a few lurkers (one attendee called herself a TC stalker ).

I was asked last minute to assist our forum's host, Adagio, since the owners both had last minute problems in attending. I was therefore wearing an Adagio exhibitor badge that they also kindly added TeaChat Moderator ... and I was positioned in the booth instead of an observer outside the booth as has always been the case. I was really surprised how many attenders saw my badge and either recognized the forum or even my name ... often with a broad smile.

I was there to assist another forum member who works for Adagio wholesale, cynTEAa.

Although this expo was a drop in the bucket compared to Vegas in size, it was a good first year for the event. And much more convenient than Vegas for easterners. Soooo, hopefully this will grow versus fade out of existance.

I heard rumors at best, and more likely it was speculation that they would not have it in Philly next year ... would it roam, who knows. I guess we could ask WTN.

That is a good idea. There is not a single location designated for this purpose currently.
