Re: Dayi tea flagship store on taobao
This is not good news for the fakes and the price gougers out there.
Re: Dayi tea flagship store on taobao
Taobao has drastically increased the cost of an online prescence there, so currently there's a whole lot of online protest using TaoBao functions, like reviews...

It was reported on the 13 October edition of China Daily.
Quote:
Daniel Zhang, president of Taobao Mall, said in an open letter that the company is firm in its commitment to "zero tolerance" with fake products. Therefore the rising costs will serve to guide and regulate online merchants to improve their service quality for the sake of consumers.

So far Dayi official store's prices have been expensive to a degree of unrealistic, compared with prices of the same Dayi products carried by retailers. Dayi itself is the very price gouger

I agree there are a lot of official dayi sellers (and I think most of them are nice people while dayi flagship store is mean ).honza wrote:In tmaill.com all shops are oficial company, if shop have name.taobao.com , is not oficial shop and they still sell crazy things or fake etc.
Also I agree tmall stores are safer because there is one more layer of regulation. But I know of some non-tmall stores that are also very good. In fact, sellers of boutique and unique products will seldom pay for a tmall membership.
Something that makes me uncomfortable about tmall stores is, currently they can set up their feedback system so that there is no negative feedback option for the buyer. So if they had upset buyers before, I wouldn't have a way to quickly track it.

Re: Dayi tea flagship store on taobao
Dayi's price gouging is amazing. They have raised their wholesale prices so high that most tea shops are selling fakes, because they cannot sell the real products here. Customers are not willing to pay such high prices for new puer. So, Dayi is hurting itself. After the huge Puer craze died down, other companies all lowered their prices back down to more normal prices, but Dayi raised theirs. I do not get it.
